Worship and Bible Class

Ascension Celebration—Celebrate world missions and Ascension Day this Thursday, May 26, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Grace Center. Prof. Jon Bare, who serves on the faculty at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary as chairman of our synod’s Pastoral Studies Institute (PSI) will give a guest presentation. The PSI program trains men for leadership in various world mission fields, with the goal of ordination into pastoral ministry in their native countries. Prof. Bare has traveled to many of our world mission fields to assist in training these global evangelists. Dinner will be served as well. Come and join in a fun evening of fellowship and food! RSVP to the church office, 414-271-3006 or to Carolyn at data@gracedowntown.org.

Living by Faith Alone: Sunday Morning Bible Class—Life isn’t easy—in fact, sometimes it’s just plain hard. There are problems and challenges all around us and even in us. No matter how hard we try, we are left feeling empty and without purpose. But the good news of free and full forgiveness offers a different way of life. Join Grace Church for this Sunday morning Bible class and explore the core teaching of the Christian faith found in the book of Galatians—justification by faith—and see how you can live by faith alone. Sunday morning Bible class is offered at 9 and 10:15 a.m. in the Grace Center’s Great Hall, along with tasty treats, juice, and coffee.
