Sunday Morning Bible Class: A Great Cloud of Witnesses: A Study on Hebrews 11—Throughout the Bible we find countless stories of God’s faithfulness, along with countless stories of the people who remained faithful to him. Dive into the lives of the ‘great cloud of witnesses’ found in Hebrews 11 on Sundays here at Grace. Find encouragement to imitate their faith as you run the race God has set before you! Sunday morning Bible class is offered at 9 and 10:15 a.m. in the Grace Center’s Great Hall, along with tasty treats, juice, and coffee.


Wedding at Grace—Millicent Selenka and Grace member Kyler Johnson were united in marriage at Grace on Saturday, June 11. May God bless this couple in their new life together.

Save the Date: Grace Block Party—Grace Lutheran Church is throwing a neighborhood block party on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022, starting at 11:30 a.m., following the 10:30 a.m. worship service—and everyone is invited to join for fun and fellowship! The block party will feature food trucks, live entertainment (including The Hergert Trio!), and games. This event is free to attend and open to the public. This is a great way to introduce family, friends, co-workers, or others to Grace Lutheran Church, so save the date and stay tuned for details!

Grace Church Picnic—The Grace Church Picnic returns! Join fellow Grace members at LaFollette Park (1100 S. 92nd St., West Allis—two blocks north of Greenfield Ave.) on Sunday, June 26 from noon until 3 p.m. There will be a bounce house for the kids as well as a corn hole tournament for anyone who wishes to participate. Sign-up sheets can be found in the Parish Center and Grace Center or online under the Connect tab on the Grace website. Please sign-up prior to June 23 so that we know how much food to order. Please bring a dish to pass. If anyone would like to bring a dessert in addition, it would be greatly appreciated! Hamburgers, hot dogs, all utensils and soft drinks are provided. RootedMKE Summer Retreat: Registration ExtendedRootedMKE is going camping—and you are invited to join in the fun! Join fellow twenty-and-thirty-somethings for a weekend of relaxation and renewal in Christ’s creation at Camp Phillip (W9944 Buttercup Ave., Wautoma, WI) July 23-24, 2022. The weekend will include a high ropes course and optional activities such as swimming, canoeing, disc golf, campfires, star gazing, prayer hikes and Bible study, a Sunday morning church service, and more. WLHS Canoe for Sale—After the WLHS inaugural canoe club’s maiden voyage, you can now purchase their canoe! This student-made canoe comes with paddles and was tested on the Wisconsin River. Materials to make the canoe came to $1,500. The club is looking for a best offer purchase to help kick-start the costs for next year’s canoe. Canticum Novum Choral Concert—Canticum Novum, a WELS chamber choir, is presenting a free concert and you are invited to attend. This year’s program, entitled “My Soul Yearns for You,” includes music centered on the profound impact that God’s word, work, and presence has on our lives. Anchoring the program is J. Aaron McDermid’s poignant work From Light to Light, which sets a collection of poems by the late hymn writer Susan Palo Cherwin. The concerts will take place on Friday, June 24, 7:30 p.m. at St. Marcus Lutheran Church (2215 N.
