Worship and Bible Class
Sunday Morning Bible Class: A Great Cloud of Witnesses: A Study on Hebrews 11—Throughout the Bible we find countless stories of God’s faithfulness, along with countless stories of the people who remained faithful to him. Dive into the lives of the ‘great cloud of witnesses’ found in Hebrews 11 on Sundays here at Grace. Find encouragement to imitate their faith as you run the race God has set before you! Sunday morning Bible class is offered at 9 and 10:15 a.m. in the Grace Center’s Great Hall, along with tasty treats, juice, and coffee.
Grace Bible Study Days Is Back!—Grace Bible Study Days returns Aug. 2-4, 2022! Each evening will kick off in the Great Hall of the Grace Center with a meal and a brief devotion. Afterwards, adult attendees can choose one of three topics of study, each taught by one of the Grace pastors, and kids will have their own Bible lesson and craft time! The evening wraps up with everyone coming back to the Great Hall for dessert and a fun, closing sing-along. This year’s topics are as follows:
Elijah—the Fiery Prophet
At a time of great spiritual crisis, the Lord raised up a man to bring his neighbors back to God. Journey through the life and times of the prophet Elijah with Pastor Aaron Strong and discover how the fire on Mount Carmel was forged in the valley of famine and learn what the faithful do when the foundations are destroyed.
Life in the Kingdom
Storybooks feature glorious tales of life in a make-believe kingdom. But what about real life in a real world with troubles, heartaches, and challenges? The Savior has lots to say about how we not only survive but thrive in his kingdom. Join Pastor Huebner for a study of three of Jesus’ parables about Life in the Kingdom.
In Season and Out of Season
In his second letter to Timothy, the Apostle Paul wrote, “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season” (4:2). Although originally written as an encouragement to a first-century pastor, Paul’s words are equally applicable to twenty-first century Christians. In Season and Out of Season, led by Pastor Brian Hackmann, seeks to encourage and equip God’s people to share that message in any and every situation.
Sign-up sheets for each topic, as well as to RSVP for the meals each evening, are located in the Parish Center. You can also sign-up online, under the Connect tab, or in one of the upcoming Grace Bible Study Days emails.
Offering Changes at Grace—Beginning in the summer of 2022, we will ponder God’s grace and the message of God’s love during the musical offering. Visitors are under no obligation to offer a financial gift, but members and guests who wish to bring an offering to the Lord may make use of offering plates in the back of the sanctuary. To make a direct and secure financial gift, scan the QR code printed on page two of this service folder.
