Upcoming Changes to Worship: Please Read—The City of Milwaukee Health Department recently announced that the current Health Order and mask mandate will expire on June 1. Grace will share changes to worship on Tuesday, June 1, via email and social media channels and in the next newsletter. All changes to worship will start on June 6. Until then, attendance restrictions, social distancing, and mask requirements are still in effect. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter as we express love to our community and those at risk!
No Monday Night Worship—As a reminder, there is no Monday night worship on Monday, May 31, in observance of Memorial Day. Thank you for understanding, and have a blessed Memorial Day Weekend and week!
Divine Call Extended—Grace has extended a call to Rev. Daniel Lange, who is currently serving Light of Life Lutheran Church in Covington, WA, to serve at Grace as an associate pastor and to fill the vacancy left by Pastor Bondow. Please keep Pastor Lange and his family, as well as Grace, in your prayers as he deliberates his calls.
Open Forum on June 6—Grace Church will share with the congregation a detailed presentation on the Vision 2025/2030 plan Sunday, June 6, at 9 and 10:15 a.m. in the Grace Center Great Hall. Check your inboxes to view the plan before the meeting; it will be resent prior to the forum. Printed copies will be made available day of as well. Website Survey: Last Call! In the past year, Grace has increased their use of technology and has expanded their digital ministry efforts. Prime Timers Returns in June—It’s back! Prime Timers Bible Study is returning Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. in the Grace Center Classroom, starting Tuesday, June 2. Minister of Discipleship Drew Carter will take the class through the book of Hebrews over the summer months. 31st Annual Friends of Wisco Golf Outing—Everyone is invited to the Friends of Wisco Annual Golf Outing on Monday, June 21, at Ironwood Golf Course (W270N6166 Moraine Dr #3332, Sussex, WI). At the event, we will honor the 1989 State Championship Golf Team with Coach Bob Lehninger (’63) and pro golfer Mark Wilson (’93). Cost is $160 per person with shotgun start at 10 a.m. Includes: green fees, golf cart, lunch and dinner, and two drink tickets. For registration and sponsorship information visit wlhs.org/events. Grace Annual Church Camp Out—It’s back! The Grace Church Campout is set for July 22-25 at the Long Lake Campground in Kettle Moraine State Forest Northern Unit. The state parks have some changes they are enforcing, which can be found at dnr.wi.gov. There will be a group cookout for dinner Friday, July 23 at the Long Lake Picnic Pavilion. If you would like to reserve your campsite, you can do so at wisconsin.goingtocamp.com or over the phone at 1-888-947-2757. Look to make reservations in the upper 900s loop or the lower 900s to be closer to other Grace members. If you have any questions you can contact Chris Midthun at Chrismidthun@wi.rr.com.
