Divine Call Extended—Grace has extended a call to Rev. Gregory C. Lyon to serve as an associate pastor here at Grace. Pastor Lyon currently serves as pastor at Wisconsin Lutheran College. Please keep Pastor Lyon, his family, and Grace in your prayers as he deliberates both of his calls.
Grace Bible Study Days Returns! Now in its 38th year, Grace Bible Study Days returns Aug. 3-5, 2021! Each evening begins with a meal at 6 p.m., followed by a brief devotion. Adults then have their choice of three Bible studies to attend, each taught by one of the Grace pastors. There is also a program for the children, featuring a Bible lesson and crafts, led by Minister of Discipleship Drew Carter. The evening ends with everyone coming back together for dessert and a group sing-a-long. Sign-up is available on the Grace website, under the Connect tab. Prime Timer Bible Study—It’s back! Prime Time Bible Study is held on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. in the Grace Center Classroom. Celebration of Life for Elfred Bloedel—Elfred Bloedel, who served as a part-time minister of music at Grace for 37 years, passed away last year. His family invites you to his Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 31, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church (1941 Madison Street, Waukesha). The service is at 11 a.m., followed by a luncheon at noon. Grace Church Picnic 2021—The Grace Church Picnic is returning this summer! The picnic will be held at Grace on Sunday, Aug. 8, following the 10:30 a.m. service. Lunch will be served at noon in the Great Hall. Food will be provided completely by Grace, and will include brats, burgers, and other traditional picnic sides. If you plan to attend, please bring your own drinks for you and your family, as well as any yard games you might want to set up in the parking lot to enjoy with others! There will be games and activities planned by Grace in the parking lot as well. While the church picnic might look different than in years past, we are excited to be in a place where fellowship events can be held again and hope you will join us!
