Divine Call Extended—Grace has extended a divine call to Pastor Aaron Boehm, currently serving as pastor at Shepherd of the Hills in La Mesa, CA, to fill the vacancy left by Pastor Bondow. Please keep him and his family, along with Grace, in your prayers as he deliberates both of his calls.

Divine Call Returned—Pastor Strong has returned his call to serve as pastor at Christ the King in Tulsa, OK. Praise be to God! May he continue to bless Pastor Strong, his family, Grace Church, and its second site ministry, Grace in the Ward.

Open Forum & Congregational Meeting Today—Every year, Grace Church gathers together in January for open forums, to discuss congregational goals for the upcoming year. This year, the forums will spend time reviewing 2020 overall, 2021 annual goals, discussing the long range planning survey that was sent out to members, 2020 financials, and reviewing the 2021 budget. The forums will take place at 9 and 10:15 a.m., in the Grace Center Great Hall. Attendance is limited to 100 individuals; the forum will also be available via Zoom at 10:15 a.m. A congregational meeting at 11:45 a.m. will follow, where voters will elect new members to council and vote on the 2021 budget. The meeting will also be available via Zoom. Everyone is welcome (and encouraged!) to attend!

Sunday Morning Bible Class in January: Sing Songs of Confident Hope: The Hymns of Paul Gerhardt — Life isn’t easy. Amid a global pandemic, social unrest, political wrangling, and personal challenges and even tragedies, how can we sing? Why would we even want to? Whether your voice graces our church choir or you prefer only to hum to yourself, music and singing are a gift from God. We can learn from a pastor who lived through challenges and tragedies and yet wrote hymns which soar with the good news of God’s unending and enduring love. Join us, won’t you, for in-person or YouTube channel viewing of Sunday Bible class, now through February 7, 2021:

Jan 24   Open Forum – No Bible Study
Jan 31   CW156 – Awake, My Heart, with Gladness
Feb 7     CW419 – If God Himself Be for Me
