Sunday Morning Bible Class in January: Sing Songs of Confident Hope: The Hymns of Paul Gerhardt — Life isn’t easy. Amid a global pandemic, social unrest, political wrangling, and personal challenges and even tragedies, how can we sing? Why would we even want to? Whether your voice graces our church choir or you prefer only to hum to yourself, music and singing are a gift from God. We can learn from a pastor who lived through challenges and tragedies and yet wrote hymns which soar with the good news of God’s unending and enduring love. Join us, won’t you, for in-person or YouTube channel viewing of Sunday Bible class, now through February 7, 2021:
Jan 17 CW105 – O Sacred Head, Now Wounded
Jan 24 Open Forum – No Bible Study
Jan 31 CW156 – Awake, My Heart, with Gladness
Feb 7 CW419 – If God Himself Be for Me

Grace Place Coffee: Temporarily Closed—Due to the ongoing nature of the pandemic and in an effort to best use the financial resources of Grace Lutheran Church, the church council has made the difficult decision to temporarily close Grace Place Coffee, starting this month. It is the goal of the council for this to be temporary, with hopes to reopen in Fall 2021 with an improved plan and purpose. Details about this decision will be in the next monthly newsletter. Thank you, Grace members for your years of patronage, and a special thanks to our many volunteers and managers over the years for your work in the coffee shop.
