Divine Call Extended—On Sunday, Mar. 14, Grace called Rev. Andrew Schroer, of Redeemer Lutheran in Edna, TX, to serve as an associate pastor here at Grace and to fill the vacancy left by Pastor Bondow. Please keep Pastor Schroer and his family, as well as Grace, in your prayers as he deliberates both his calls.
Asleep in Jesus—Our God called Grace member Hattie Goelzer to her eternal home Tuesday, Apr. 6. Visitation will be at Heritage Funeral Home (9200 S. 27th St., Oak Creek) on Saturday, Apr. 17 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m. In our prayers we remember those who mourn.

Grace in Action: Food Drive—Today is the last day to drop off food items for Grace in Action’s food drive. All items gathered will help Northside Lutheran Ministries, an inner city charity outreach program. (Check out the spring newsletter to learn more about Northside and people who serve in ministry there!) Collection bins are located in the Parish Center as well as in the Grace Center. All nonperishable foods are welcome—with specific requests for canned meats, pasta, pancake mix, syrup, and jelly. Mom’s Group 2021 Dates—Moms are invited to join Mom’s Group for fun and fellowship! Currently, the group is meeting virtually through Zoom and working its way through a Bible Study based on a Risen Motherhood, a popular podcast. Meetings are Fridays at 9 a.m. (unless stated otherwise). The remaining dates for the rest of the school year are as follows:

Job Opening at Kingdom Workers—Kingdom Workers is looking to hire a full-time building project manager! The Build Up Project Manager will lead projects for the Build Up program at multiple locations while sharing Jesus with volunteers and those being served. Other responsibilities include material acquisition for projects, planning and scheduling projects, working on-site with youth and local volunteers, and building strong relationships with youth and partner organizations. WLHS Work Days—Do you have yard work or spring cleaning that needs to get done such as raking, hedge trimming, or window washing? Consider hiring hard-working members of WLHS student council for a free-will donation! Teams are available for up to four hours of outdoor work. All money raised will go to the 2020-21 WLHS mission project, New Beginnings—A Home for Mothers, which provides a loving place for single mothers to start a new life. Work days will be held on any Saturday or Sunday, starting Apr. 17 and running through May 16. To request a team, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, address, phone number, the work you need accomplished, any tools that might be needed, and day(s) this work could be completed.
A Night on Broadway: WLHS Musical Revue—This year's WLHS spring musical will be in the form of a revue featuring many of Broadway's all-time iconic, favorite songs. Performances will be held in the auditorium on Friday, Apr. 23 and Saturday, Apr. 24, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Apr. 25, at 1 p.m. Tickets are now on sale, and can be purchased either at the reception window of the Central Office or online at wlhs.org/musical. (A convenience fee will be added to online orders.) Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children (through eighth grade).
25th Annual WLHS Dinner Auction—WLHS is excited to offer both in-person and virtual admission to the 25th Annual Dinner Auction on Saturday, Apr. 17, at 6 p.m. This year's event, "Empowered by Faith," will feature an online silent and live auction, whiskey and wine pulls, and student performances. Virtual registration includes a Grubhub e-gift card and free access to the event online. The in-person event will follow City of Milwaukee safety protocols. Men of His Word: Viewing Party at Grace—Grace men are invited to a viewing party of this year's Men of His Word: Virtual Conference on Saturday, Apr. 17, 2021, 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. at the Grace Center! This conference is to replace the in-person one that was canceled due to COVID. As many of us feel disconnected, now more than ever is the time to reconnect with brothers in Christ!
