Open Forum, Congregational and Call Meeting Recap
Last Sunday, the congregation voted to approve the 2020 church budget and elected three councilmen: Jeff Hatzung, Steve Stone, and Dan Tess.
These men will be installed Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020 at the 9 a.m. service., along with Josh Grefe, who joined council via a vacancy in 2019. A call meeting was also held last Sunday, and Grace extended a call to Rev. Adam R. Mueller, who currently serves Redeemer Lutheran in Tucson, Arizona. Please keep both Grace, Pastor Mueller, and his family in your prayers as he deliberates both of his calls.

Grace in Action Event—On Friday, Feb. 7, Grace in Action will prepare dinner at Grace, then transport and serve the dinner at 5 p.m. at Lighthouse Youth Center, Garden Homes location (2475 W. Roosevelt Dr., Milwaukee). Volunteers can help prepare food at Grace beforehand (2:30-3:30 p.m.), transport the food, and/or help serve the dinner at the youth center (with a devotion at 4:30 p.m.). First Fridays Presents Silver Rose Duo—Head to Grace on Friday, Feb. 7 at 5 p.m. for “Baroque, Brazil, and Beyond,” a program blending emotive music of Latin and South American composers with lyrical Baroque pieces, featuring award-winning concert flutist Kim Fleuchaus and international performing guitarist Julie Goldberg. Women’s Retreat at Camp Phillip—Please join the women of Grace at Camp Phillip the weekend of March 20-22, 2020! Register online at The cost is $97 and includes meals, Bible study, and two nights in heated cabins, in addition to campfires and making connections with wonderful women! Job Openings at Grace:
Church Administrator—The leadership and staff at Grace are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Church Administrator. This full-time position supervises the church office and support staff, oversees maintenance of Grace facilities, and works with the church council to manage the congregation’s finances. The qualified candidate will ideally be a Grace member in good standing with excellent leadership and communication skills, problem-solving ability, and experience in management. Grace Place Coffee Shop Manager—This part-time position is responsible for daily operations of our coffee shop and barista team. Grace Center Hosts Wanted—Grace is seeking friendly individuals to greet members and guests who visit the Grace Center Sunday mornings! Tasks may include replenishing treats for Bible class, monitoring the parking lot, and assisting the coffee shop barista with closing duties.
