Pastor Bondow Farewell—Pastor Bondow has accepted his call to serve as pastor at Living Savior in Littleton, Colorado, and Grace would like to thank him and his family for being a part of the Grace family for the past six years. A farewell gathering has been set for Sunday, Nov. 24, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the Grace Center Great Hall. Details will come in future GraceNotes. We ask that you continue to keep Pastor Bondow, his family, Living Savior and Grace in your prayers.

Call Meeting—A call meeting is scheduled for today, Oct. 27, 2019, at 11:45 a.m. in the church, following the last Sunday service. All are encouraged to attend!

Annual Open Fora—Grace’s annual open fora are scheduled for next Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, taking place in the lower level of the church, with two sessions available: 9 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. (there will be no Sunday morning Bible class). Sizzling bacon, mouth-watering doughnuts and other tasty refreshments will be provided by the church council. The agenda for this year’s discussions will include an update on the Grace Abounds initiative, small-group breakout sessions conducting SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analyses, and time for questions from those in attendance. First Fridays Presents Florestan Duo—On Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, Florestan Duo presents “Two Hamburgers with a Side of Schumann.” Comprised of Stefan Kartman, cello, and Jeannie Yu, piano, this program highlights 19th century Romantic composers from the heart of Germany. Concert begins at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary and will last approximately an hour. Concert is free and open to the public.

Grace Fine Art & Craft Festival—Next Sunday, on Nov. 3, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Grace Center Great Hall, enjoy the handcrafted work of more than 25 local artisans from around Wisconsin. Items include woodwork puzzles, photography and prints, mixed media, jewelry, illustrations, soap, body care products, confections and more! Enjoy live music while you shop; the first 100 guests who bring a non-perishable food item will be given a reusable canvas bag.

Happy Hobby Hour: Wine Tasting—Back by popular demand, enjoy wine tasting with Grace member and wine expert Anthony Crowder on Friday, Nov. 8, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Grace Center classroom! Learn about the variety of wines on the market while sampling a handful too! Cost is $5 and includes appetizers and several wines to taste. Attendees must be 21 or older. Grace in Action November Event—Join Grace in Action in creating and filling food stock boxes for senior citizens with Hunger Task Force on Saturday, Nov. 9, 1-4 p.m, in the MKE Regional Business Park (300 E. College Ave.). Kids ages 12-15 are welcome with an adult chaperone, youth ages 16+ can volunteer independently. There are still a handful of slots to fill! Advent By Candlelight—Advent by Candlelight (ABC) is set for Saturday, Dec. 7, 3-5:15 p.m., in the Grace Center Great Hall. This annual event allows women to focus their hearts on Christ during the busy Advent season while sharing in fellowship with each other.

Volunteer Hostesses are needed: Hostesses decorate their tables and provide a friendly atmosphere for their guests. Hostesses have the opportunity to co-host with a friend, invite their own guests or use this as a chance to make new ones! Sign up to host a table before next Sunday, Nov. 3. Tech Volunteers Needed—Grace is actively recruiting tech volunteers to fulfill several audio, visual, and general technology tasks that take place on a weekly basis. You don’t need to be a tech guru to be able to help—if you can follow a few simple directions and know how to operate a mouse, you can help! Grace is specifically looking for help uploading videos of sermons and Bible classes to YouTube and the Grace website, assistance with set up, take down, and transport of audio/visual equipment, and general assistance with the Most Certainly True podcast.
