Grace in Action July and August Donation Drive—Grace in Action will start a donation drive next month to collect school supplies for Sojourner Family Peace Center, which provides prevention and intervention services for families affected by domestic violence. First Fridays Presents Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes—Come to Grace on Friday, Aug. 2, at 5 p.m., and enjoy Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes, Op. 52 and Op. 65. This concert will feature local artists Saira Frank, Kristen DiNinno, Tim Rebers, Thomas Weis, James Nowack, and Maggie Rebers. Concert is free and open to the public, and will last approximately an hour, with refreshments served post-concert.

Happy Hobby Hour: Cigars—It’s back again! On Friday, Aug. 9, starting at 5:30 p.m., enjoy a fun, summer evening as Uhle’s Cigars and Grace member Joe Gruszka l lead an informal yet educational presentation on cigars. Cost is $5, and includes tasty appetizers, high-quality cigars, and raffle entry. Must be 18 or older to attend. Blood Drive at Grace—Grace Lutheran Church and the BloodCenter of Wisconsin are once again teaming up for a summertime blood drive! Supplies have been low this year, so every little bit helps! Sign-up times will be available in July, with links on the Grace website, and will take place between 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. This blood drive will be held on Sunday, Aug. 18 in the Grace Center Great Hall. Angel Tree Thank You Cards—We recently received thank you notes from all the children who received gifts from Grace members this past Christmas through the annual Angel Tree.
