Grace Center Support - Building Hosts
The Grace Center is bustling with activity, and could use a few more Sunday morning building hosts! Contact Veronica at email@example.com or call 414-271-3006 to learn more.
Nursery Available—Parents of small children, did you know Grace has a staffed nursery available for children three months to three years from 8:45 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. on Sundays? Beginning Sept. 9 (when Sunday morning Bible class resumes), you can drop your child/ren off in the Parish Center - no prior sign-up required - and then go attend Bible class (and sip your Grace Place Coffee while it’s still hot)! The nursery even has a pager system so you can be alerted if anything comes up while you are at class.
Can you help? The Grace nursery is seeking individuals to volunteer their time 8:45 a.m.-10:15 a.m. to help care for children. Activities include checking names in and out and assisting with playtime, snack distribution, and clean up. If interested, contact Drew at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Annual Grace Camp-Out 2019—Now is the time to reserve your campsite for next summer’s annual camp-out at Long Lake Campground in the northern unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, just northeast of Kewauskum, about an hour drive from the zoo. This is not a group camp so everyone needs to make reservations for their own camp sites. This can be done at reserveamerica.com or by calling 1-888-947-2757. Reserve for any evenings July 25-27 with departure on Sunday, July 28--whatever fits your schedule and tolerance level! Reese (sites 922-967). Some now are non-reservable. If you can’t get one in the upper, go for the lower 900s which is just a shout away. We have one joint meal on Friday at 6:00 p.m. The rest of the meals are on your own. Details on joint devotions, church service, etc. will be sent to you in July. If you decide to reserve a site, please let Drew Carter know which one you reserved at email@example.com.
A Message from Communications Coordinator Amanda Schumacher
Good Morning Everyone!
I hope this finds you doing well and enjoying the beginning of September. If you are reading this note - thank you. Sincerely! The ways we communicate in this world continue to change, and I’d love to know what is the best way to connect with you. If you are willing, please head to gracedowntown.org/survey and take a few minutes to answer some questions about ways we can better communicate with each other here at Grace. In case you don’t have access to a computer, printed versions of the survey are available in the Parish Center and Grace Center. I want to continue to serve this congregation to the best of my ability, and knowing what you want will help me do that!
God’s Blessings on your week!
-Amanda Schumacher, Communications Coordinator

Relationships: Strengthening Relationships Through Communication
Sundays in September
9:00 & 10:15 a.m. | Grace Center Great Hall
Led by Pastor James and Denise Becker, September’s Sunday Morning Bible Class will be centered on relationships. One of the ways to become closer or develop a better relationship is communicating. However, do you ever find it difficult to talk with or listen to your spouse, or someone of the opposite sex? (Or maybe you have no problem talking but they seem to have a problem listening.) We will discuss the differences of the sexes in communicating, and skills to make our communication more effective, based on the principles God lays down for us. Come and join us as we work and have fun at becoming closer with our spouse and others.

Every 2nd & 4th Friday, 6:30-7:30 a.m. | Grace Place Coffee
