Open Forum & Congregational Meeting Recap
Last Sunday, Grace held open fora and a congregational meeting to present and discuss 2018 plans for Grace. The 2018 budget was approved, including funds to support a fourth pastor. Josh Schermerhorn will serve as council president, Jeff Hatzung as vice president, and David Egelseer as secretary. Jared Greanya and Josh Seeger were elected to first terms on the council.

Pastor Bondow Call
Pastor Bondow received a call on Jan. 17 to serve as lead pastor at St. Luke’s in Watertown,  Wisconsin. Please pray for him and his family as he deliberates.

Lent at Grace
Wednesday Lenten worship and suppers start up in a few weeks! Take a break from the kitchen and instead join your Grace family for food, fellowship, and focusing on a “Love so amazing, so divine.”

Offering Envelopes for 2018
Your 2018 offering envelopes are available in the Parish Center lobby. Those already enrolled in electronic giving are not assigned envelopes, but if you would still like a box of them, please contact the church office or indicate this on the clipboard near the envelopes.

First Fridays-Avanti Guitar Trio
First Fridays return in February with Avanti Guitar Trio! Based in Chicago, this world-class chamber ensemble’s repertoire ranges from Baroque to Contemporary, and features newly composed works, classical masterpieces, and the occasional rock, pop, or jazz tune. Concert begins at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2 in the sanctuary, with light refreshments following the performance. To learn more about the group, CLICK HERE.

First Fridays is Grace’s free and open-to-the-public concert series that takes place on the first Friday of every month.

Happy Hobby Hour-Learn to Quilt
Led by Grace member Cheryl Davidson, guests will have the chance to create a hand-quilted hot pad for the kitchen using a quick and easy pattern that teaches quilting basics. The evening kicks off on Friday, Feb. 9, at 5 p.m., and costs $5, which includes appetizers, beverage ticket, and entry into the raffle. Women of Grace February Event
Join Women of Grace for their winter event Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, 9 a.m.-noon in the Grace Center! The theme is “The Greatest Love of All,” based on Ephesians 3:18b, and will feature guest speaker Jane Schlenvogt-Dew. Light refreshments will be provided.

Grace Bowl-a-rama
Join Grace on Sunday, Mar. 4, from 1:30-3 p.m. at Riviera Lanes (8600 W. Greenfield Ave., West Allis).  The cost is only $4, and includes two games and shoe rental. Please bring non-perishable food items to be given to St. Marcus’ food pantry. All participants are asked to wear at least one wacky clothing item. Blood Drive at Grace
Save the date, save a life! Grace is hosting a blood drive on Sunday, March 11, 2018, 9 a.m.-noon in the Parish Center. Please sign up on the sheets in the Parish Center and Grace Center, or via the below Google form HERE.

Are you curious about the Bible? Are there questions you’ve always wanted to ask? Grace’s Bible Information Class is designed to offer a comfortable, casual and fun atmosphere to explore the Bible and what it says about your relationship with God. Creation Museum TourWisconsin Lutheran High School (WLHS) invites you on a special bus tour to visit the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in Petersburg, Kentucky, June 7-10, 2018, hosted by WLHS president Pastor Ken Fisher and WLHS Foundation executive director Kristine Metzger. Fifth Grade Extravaganza—Wisconsin Lutheran High School is hosting an event for fifth grade students and their parents on Sunday, Jan. 28, 5:30-7:30 p.m. The event is free and includes dinner, a fun night of entertainment, and even a Chromebook giveaway! Kids Carnival at WLHS
Step right up and try your luck at over 50 games as the Wisconsin Lutheran High School (WLHS) student body hosts a kid carnival on Sunday, Feb. 18, from 1-3:30 p.m. Children ages three through fourth grade are invited. Each $3 admission receives 20 play tokens, and cotton candy and other concessions are available for purchase. Parents and grandparents attend for free!

2018 Christian Women Today Retreat—Sponsored by Christ the Lord, this year’s retreat will be held at the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel (375 S. Moorland Rd., Brookfield). Registration deadline is Friday, Feb. 23, 2018. For questions, contact Linda at 414-507-5341.
