Fourth Pastor Call Meeting
A congregational meeting for calling a fourth pastor will take place Sunday, May 6. The meeting will be held in the sanctuary at 11:45 a.m. after the 10:30 service.
First Fridays Presents Viola Power!
Enjoy Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 along with other selections that highlight the beauty of the viola on Friday, May 4 at 5 p.m. Featuring violists Amanda Grettie Koch and Jenny Snyder Kozoroz. Concert lasts about an hour; light refreshments will be shared after the concert. First Fridays is Grace’s free and open to the public concert series, offered on the first Friday of every month.
Happy Hobby Hour Card Making
Tired of paying for generic, over-priced greeting cards? Then join Nicole Weeks and Emily Jo Peterson on Friday, May 11 at 5:30 p.m. for a fun evening of DIY card making! Materials will be provided, all you have to bring are your ideas! Cost is $5 and includes yummy appetizers, a beverage ticket, and entry into a raffle. Job Openings at Grace
Grace is seeking candidates to fill two (2) part-time custodian positions in the Grace Center. Responsibilities include cleaning work and event spaces as well as assisting with special event set up and take down. Positions are for 10 hours a week; candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Youth Rally 2018
On June 26-29, WELS will hold its national Youth Rally at Bowling Green State University. This provides teens with wonderful opportunities to connect, learn, and worship with other teens from across the nation! Cost will be covered by Grace Church. Women of Grace
Women of Grace’s next quarterly event is set for Saturday, May 12, 9 a.m.-noon in the Heritage Room. Special World Missions & Ascension Celebration
Join Grace for a celebration of world missions and Ascension on Thursday, May 10, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Grace Center. Pastor Nathan Seiltz, current Director of WELS Multi-Language Publications, will be the guest speaker. WELS Multi-Language Publications assists world missionaries and national churches with bringing the Word to the world and currently produces products in 52 different languages. On Wednesday, May 23, WWII veteran Gene Schulz will present a slide show of The Gothic Cathedral of Notre Dame de Chartres, built southwest of Paris in the 12th century. The presentation tells the story of its construction - including 176 stained-glass windows which depict stories from the entire Bible - as well as the fascinating history of how it survived WWII without any damage. The lecture will be held 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the Grace Center classroom. Cost for lunch and honorarium is $12. Hey Moms! The last regularly scheduled Moms Group is set for Friday, May 11, but that doesn’t mean the fun stops during the summer! Wednesday Park Play Dates are back, beginning on June 6. NPH Closing Retail Store Fall 2018
Northwestern Publishing House (NPH) has made the difficult decision to close the doors of its retail location (1250 N. 113th Street, Milwaukee) this fall. WLC Spring Concerts
Wisconsin Lutheran College Choir and Band present their spring concerts. The choir performs on Friday,

Walk or Run for LIFE on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Join other pro-lifers for the Life-A-Thon at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary to benefit WELS Lutherans for Life’s pregnancy medical center ministry. Get friends together, raise funds for prizes, and help save lives! Competitive 5k, Kid’s Lifesaver Quarter Mile Dash, and 2-mile walk! $25 individual or $60 family. WLHS Prism Concerts
WLHS Prism concerts will be held Friday, May 18 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 20 at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m. in the WLHS gymnasium. Enjoy the God-given talents of our student ensembles, solos, duets, choirs and bands. Advance tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children. Tickets will also be available at the door, $8 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets are assigned first come, first served in one of four separate sections.
