Q: When is the 2019 festival?
A: The 2019 Annual Grace Fine Art & Craft Festival will take place Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019.
The hours for the festival in 2019 are 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

Q: Where is the festival located?
A: In the Great Hall, located on the second floor of the Grace Center. The Grace Center is located at 250 E. Juneau Ave., Milwaukee.
In years past, there have been a few vendors on the first floor of the Grace Center as well.

Q: When is the deadline to apply to be an artisan?
A: The deadline for applications was Wednesday, July 31, 2019. However, if you would like to be placed on a waiting list, or put on a list for consideration next year, please contact the event coordinator, Julie Schoenrock, at jschoenrock@gracedowntown.org or call the office at 414-271-3006.

Q: What does it cost to apply to be an artisan vendor for the festival?
A: The cost to apply to be an artisan vendor for the festival in 2019 is $65 (for a booth upstairs), and $35 (for a smaller, limited space booth downstairs).

Q: If I apply, do I automatically receive a space at the festival?
A: Selections for the festival are made through a jurying process. All applicants will have their artwork juried by a third-party during the month of August.
If you are selected for the festival, you will be guaranteed a space, and the Festival Coordinator will guide you through the next steps.
If you are not selected for the festival, you will be refunded the $65 application fee.

Q: How many artisans are chosen for the festival?
The amount of artisans chosen varies, but usually lands somewhere between 25 and 29 artisan vendors.

Q: If chosen for the festival, how big of a space is each artist given?
A: Spaces are 10 ft. by 10 ft., and include two 7 ft. by 15 in. tables.

Q: How many attendees does the festival see?
A: Last year's festival saw record-breaking attendance: 250 guests!
In years past, attendance has varied due to the weather and other factors, but has usually been no lower than 175-200 attendees.

Q: If I am chosen as an artist, can I drop off my items the day-of the event?
A: To ensure the festival can start on time, we require vendors to be available the day before for artist vendor load-in.
This year's festival load-in times are 3-6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019.
Each artist will be able to reserve a two-hour slot within that time frame to load-in their items.

Q: If it's slow, can I pack up my items and leave early?
A: Since we are advertising the festival will take place 8 a.m.-2 p.m., all artists must stay for the entire duration of the event.
However, many artists begin to pack up the last half-hour of the festival, to ensure a timely load-out.

Q: Can I keep items overnight and pick them up Sunday morning?
A: No. Unfortunately since the Grace Center Great Hall is used frequently for rentals on the weekend, including on Sundays, the space must be cleared at the conclusion of the festival. Once the festival ends at 2 p.m., artists have until 4 p.m. on Sunday to load-out all their items.

Q: Are there any other perks to being an artisan at the Grace Fine Art & Craft Festival?
A: Yes! Artists are allotted time the day before on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019 to load-in their items. Artists are also given a complimentary breakfast the day-of the rummage, 7 a.m.-8:45 a.m., in the Great Hall. The breakfast is usually comprised of bagels, fruit, juice, and coffee. Artists of the festival also receive free advertising and marketing by Grace Lutheran Church, and will have the event promoted in press releases, and across several social media and online channels and platforms.
