Pastor James Huebner

jhuebner@gracedowntown.org

In 1982 Pastor James Huebner became the eighth pastor in the 150-year history of Grace Church. Since then the membership has more than doubled as God has blessed the leadership provided by Pastor Huebner pursuing a vision for the future and plan for the present, committing to excellence, and enhancing the church's heritage as part of downtown Milwaukee.

Pastor Huebner's ministry responsibilities at Grace Church include overall administration, leadership development, worship planning, and counseling, along with regular preaching and teaching. The congregation has been doubly blessed because of his expertise as a church consultant. They also support him in his synodical positions as Vice President of the Southeastern Wisconsin District and Chairman of the WELS Commission on Evangelism.

An avid sports buff, Pastor Huebner makes creative use of his VCR at home and catches almost every Packers and Badgers game, as well as golf tournaments and basketball games. He enjoys serving as a scorer at many Wisconsin Lutheran High School basketball games, and not much can stop him from enjoying a round of golf. Pastor Huebner has two grown children, one of whom is married. His wife, Anne, is a licensed psychologist and professor at Wisconsin Lutheran College, whose talents in the Huebner kitchen are both enjoyed and shared by her husband.

Pastor Daron Lindemann

Pastor Lindemann graduated from the seminary in 1993 and served a congregation in South Carolina for six years until he became the first associate pastor in Grace's history. The church added Pastor Lindemann in 1999 to increase a connection with the young crowd at Grace by establishing and expanding young adult ministries, as well as efforts to serve college students. His other ministry responsibilities include education planning, evangelism, counseling, and visitation, along with regular preaching and teaching. He also preaches regularly for the "Message from the Master" radio broadcast and sponsors an online preachers self study.

An interest in electronic media has led Pastor Lindemann to explore some exciting avenues of communication such as this website, e-mail devotions, web-based Bible studies, the Bible-on-CD listening programs, and the TV broadcast of worship services.

Pastor Lindemann enjoys any outdoor or water-related family activities with his two sons and his wife Cara, a homemaker and part-time ophthalmic technician. During the winter he officiates high school and college basketball games, and takes a turn at tennis during the summer. Whatever the weather condition, one of his favorite spots is manning the outdoor grill.

Minister of Discipleship Fritz Horn

fritzjhorn@gracedowntown.org

With previous experience as a grade school teacher and principal, Fritz Horn was called to serve as Grace's minister of discipleship in 1991. He has since put his talents to use in the areas of Sunday School planning, family ministry, activities, prison ministry, member involvement, and senior ministry, as well as regular teaching and visitation. His personable nature has led him to create care ministries at Grace such as the prayer circle, food drives, and helping those with disabilities.

His special skills in planning and organizing have helped Grace Church become a very active congregation enjoying fun activities like movie nights, ice skating, scavenger hunts, tailgating, camp outs, weekend retreats and festival feasts, as well as church softball and basketball teams.

Fritz and his wife Kathie, a senior consultant for Omni Learning Resources, Ltd. and organist for Grace Church, have three children of whom two are married, and six grandchildren. Family camping and traveling, handyman projects around the home, and an occasional game of tennis also keep Fritz active.
