Bible Study Book Sale—Starting in October, Grace will offer a Bible study featuring portions of Prepared to Answer, while the Most Certainly True podcast will have listeners working through Grace Abounds. Grace members have the opportunity to purchase the books ($30 for Grace Abounds, $15 for Prepared to Answer, $35 for both), on sale now.

Choir Singers Wanted! Do you like to sing? Consider joining a choir at Grace—rehearsals start soon. Boohoo/Yahoo Back to School Event—Mothers are invited to Women of Grace’s first ever “Boohoo/Yahoo,” to celebrate the bittersweet reality of the kids heading back to school (even the ones in preschool and college!). Meet in the Grace Center Atrium on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 8:30-10 a.m. to either commiserate or celebrate (or maybe a bit of both!). First Fridays presents North Coast Midwest Winds—First Fridays presents North Coast Midwest Winds, a woodwind quintet, on Friday, Sept. 6, at 5 p.m. here in the sanctuary. Concerts last about an hour, with light refreshments following the performance.
Annual Community Rummage Sale at Grace—Grace’s annual community rummage returns this Saturday, Sept. 7, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Grace Center’s Great Hall. Shop for gently used kitchen utensils, clothing for all ages, furniture, toys and games, and more—or consider lending a hand and helping our community feel welcome by volunteering your time during the rummage! Happy Hobby Hour: Relax with Essential Oils—Begin the fall season off right with some self-care! On Friday, Sept. 13, starting at 5:30 p.m., guests will be making rice bags with essential oils featuring calming characteristics to help you relax at the end of the day. Cost is $5, and includes drink ticket, tasty appetizers, materials for making rice bags, and raffle entry. LWMS Fall Rally—Grace has the honor of hosting the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society (LWMS) Metro Milwaukee North Circuit Fall Rally this year on Saturday, Oct. 19, 8 a.m.-noon in the Grace Center. The rally features Rev. Ryan Kolander, pastor of home mission Palabra de Vida (Word of Life) Lutheran Church in Detroit, MI, as the guest speaker. Save the date for this event!
Would you like to help? LWMS needs help collating materials for folders, gathering breakfast food donations, assisting with parking, counting offering dollars, managing the registration desk day-of, and clean-up. Sign-up sheets are located in the Parish Center.
Grace Adopt-A-Student—A new program designed to encourage the faith of our college-bound members is starting this fall. Grace members will write to their “adopted student” at least twice a semester for the next school year. Additional notes, care packages, or other ways to offer encouragement and support to students are welcome. More info will be coming soon in future GraceNotes.
