Hackmann Installation on Sunday, May 19
In just two weeks, we welcome Pastor Brian Hackmann and his family to Grace! We start with an installation service at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary, and finish with a “Welcome to Milwaukee” dinner following the service in the Great Hall, beginning at 6 p.m. RSVP for the dinner no later than Wednesday, May 8, HERE or call the church office at 414-271-3006.

Hackmann Gift Registry—At Pastor Hackmann’s installation dinner, Grace will present him and his family with a table of gifts, courtesy of Grace leadership, members, and staff. Our events staff has put together a fun, “Welcome to Milwaukee Hackmann Family” registry, which features several Milwaukee-themed items, and gifts ranging from $5-$250, so there is plenty of variety for every budget.

View the registry HERE

You can also donate food and pantry items for their new home or gift your time to set up and/or take down the event. You can also give a check to off-set the cost of the dinner. Monetary gifts can be given electronically (if you already have that set up), or you may place a check in an envelope in the offering plate (make the check out to Grace Lutheran Church, and place “Hackmann Installation” in the memo section). If you have questions, contact Events Director Veronica Brewer at vbrewer@gracedowntown.org or call the church office.

Marriage Workshop: ”From Me to We to One” — It’s somewhat of a puzzle, trying to blend two lives together, but just as a jigsaw puzzle reveals a beautiful picture once it’s completed, so are the benefits of a relationship where two lives “fit together” into “one.” Join Pastor James Becker and his wife Denise on Wednesday, May 8, 6-8 p.m. in the Grace Center for a workshop focused on the unifying principles that God gives us in his Word on how to make that a reality in your marriage. Childcare provided, RSVP to Carolyn in the office at data@gracedowntown.org.

No Primetimers Wednesday May 8—Due to the church office being closed on May 8 there will be no Primetimers Bible Study that morning. We look forward to having everyone back May 15! Spread the word! All questions can be directed towards Minister of Discipleship Drew Carter at dcarter@gracedowntown.org.

Happy Hobby Hour: Movement 101—Get up and move! Head to the Grace Center on Friday, May 10, at 5:30 p.m. and learn how to keep moving during the day with this basics movement class. Cost is $5, and includes drink ticket, supplies for yoga and movement, and raffle entry.
