Teen Ministry Website Page—Grace has updated the teen group page on the Grace website. The new page is called Teen Ministry, and is located under the Connect tab. The page has links to devotional and topical resources for you to use with your teen. There is more to come so check it out and stay alert for future announcements about new content!

Grace in Action July and August Donation Drive—From July 14 thru August 4, Grace in Action is collecting school supplies for Sojourner Family Peace Center, which provides prevention and intervention services for families affected by domestic violence. Supply lists are located in the Parish Center, and a bin is located in the Grace Center, along with additional supply lists. Installation for Minister of Music Kevin Becker—In May 2019, the church council extended a divine call to church administrator Kevin Becker to serve as Grace’s new full-time Minister of Music, which he has accepted! His installation will take place during the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday, July 21, with a small cake-and-punch reception to follow in the Grace Center atrium.
Annual Grace Camp-Out—There is still time to reserve your campsite for this summer’s camp out at Long Lake Campground in the northern unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, just northeast of Kewaskum (approximately an hour drive from the zoo). This is not a group camp; reservations must be made individually. Go to reserveamerica.com or call 1-888-947-2757 to reserve a spot for any evenings July 25-27 with departure on Sunday, July 28—whatever fits your schedule and tolerance level! Ask for a site in the upper 900s loop (sites 922-967) or the lower 900s, which is just a shout away. There will be one joint meal on Friday at 6 p.m. The rest of the meals are on your own. RootedMKE Goes to Wisconsin State Fair—Join RootedMKE on Sunday, Aug. 4, 3-8 p.m., for a fun-filled day at the Wisconsin State Fair! Enjoy an afternoon of strolling the fairgrounds, sampling some great fried fair food, and checking out the best of what Wisconsin has to offer. First Fridays Presents Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes—Come to Grace on Friday, Aug. 2, at 5 p.m., and enjoy Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes, Op. 52 and Op. 65. This concert will feature local artists Saira Frank, Kristen DiNinno, Tim Rebers,Thomas Weis, James Nowack, and Maggie Rebers. Concert is free and open to the public, and will last approximately an hour, with refreshments served post-concert.

Happy Hobby Hour: Cigars—It’s back again! On Friday, Aug. 9, starting at 5:30 p.m., enjoy a fun, summer evening as Uhle’s Cigars and Grace member Joe Gruszka l lead an informal yet educational presentation on cigars. Cost is $5, and includes tasty appetizers, high-quality cigars, and raffle entry. Must be 18 or older to attend. Blood Drive at Grace—Grace Lutheran Church and the BloodCenter of Wisconsin are once again teaming up for a summertime blood drive! Supplies have been low this year, so every little bit helps! Sign-up times will be available in July, with links on the Grace website, and will take place between 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. This blood drive will be held on Sunday, Aug. 18 in the Grace Center Great Hall. Angel Tree Thank You Cards—We recently received thank you notes from all the children who received gifts from Grace members this past Christmas through the annual Angel Tree. Sunday Morning Grace Center Hosts Needed—Grace is seeking smiling faces to greet members and guests who visit the coffee shop or attend Bible study in the Great Hall on Sunday mornings! Tasks may include replenishing treats for Bible study, monitoring the parking lot, and assisting the coffee shop barista with closing duties. Building hosts are stationed in the Grace Center atrium, near the Juneau Ave. entrance. Free coffee drink of choice from Grace Place during your shift!
