Grace in the Ward One Year Anniversary—Celebrate one year of ministry at Grace in the Ward! After today’s 10:30 a.m. service, head to the second floor at the Broadway Theatre Center (158 N. Broadway) and join Pastor Strong and Ward attendees for food, fellowship, and planning future ministry for Grace in the Ward. Smoked meat, cake, and drinks will be provided; please bring a side to share.
Lent Worship at Grace—There is one remaining midday Lenten worship service this week. The theme is “Take him away.” The service is at 12:10-12:40 p.m., in the sanctuary.
Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary Chorus Concert—The Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary Chorus, under the direction of Prof. James Tiefel, Minister of Music at Grace, presents a concert this Wednesday, Apr. 10 at 7 p.m., in lieu of the evening Lenten worship service. This concert is an annual tradition at Grace. The last Lenten supper will be served prior to the concert, 6-6:45 p.m. in the Grace Center Great Hall.The menu is Taco Bar. RSVP in advance via the Grace website (under the Connect tab), or call the church office at 414-271-3006. Please RSVP in advance so our events team knows how much food to prepare.
Easter Flower Orders—Help adorn the altar for Easter with beautiful spring flowers! Pick up an envelope from the Parish Center counter and deposit it in the box with your payment. Selections and prices are listed on the envelopes. Please make checks payable to Grace Lutheran Church. Orders must be in today, April 7.
Clean Up the Church for Easter—Join us for a little spring cleaning on Saturday, Apr. 13, from 9:30-11 a.m. Lend a hand with general cleaning, polishing trim and woodwork, changing light bulbs, etc. If you can help, sign up in the Parish Center or Grace Center or email Drew Carter at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Easter Brunch—Join Grace on Easter Sunday, Apr. 21, for a delicious breakfast in the Great Hall from 7:15-10:45 a.m. Volunteers are needed to help setup, serve and cleanup—contact Drew Carter to offer your assistance. Grace members are also asked to bring food items, such as hard-boiled or deviled eggs, ham, cheese, fruit, and bakery items. Sign-up sheets are located in the Grace Center, or you can email a list of items to Veronica Brewer at email@example.com.
Happy Hobby Hour: D.I.Y. Easter Egg Dyeing—Get practice in before the relatives come over with the Happy Hobby Hour event for April! Held in the church’s Heritage Room, this hobby hour is perfect for all ages, so bring your friends, family, or kids for a fun night! Cost is $5, and includes drink ticket, supplies for dyeing eggs, and raffle entry. RSVP under the Connect tab, or call the church office at 414-271-3006.
Women of Grace Spring Event—Join Women of Grace for their spring event on Saturday, Apr. 27, 9 a.m.-noon in the Grace Center Great Hall. Women of Grace Bible Study—The Women of Grace “Be still…and Pray” Bible study will meet Sunday, Apr. 28, 9-10 a.m., in the Grace Center classroom. There will be a brief devotion and Bible study, Table Talk, and time to firm up plans for the future continuation of women’s Bible study and prayer. The book, There’s A Prayer For That from Northwestern Publishing House, is available for a discounted price of $8. This Bible study is open to all women of Grace whether you have participated in our previous study or not. All are welcome!
Annual Beer Pairing Dinner—Kick off summer and beer garden season early with a beer-pairing dinner, featuring Lakefront Brewery and Lisa Kaye Catering! View a full menu HERE. Hackmann Installation: Save the Date for Sunday, May 19—
Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 19, the day we welcome Pastor Brian Hackmann and his family to Grace! The evening will begin with an installation service at Grace at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary.
