Wednesday Lenten worship and suppers start up in a few weeks! Take a break from the kitchen and instead join your Grace family for food, fellowship, and focusing on a “Love so amazing, so divine.”

The Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary Chorus, under the direction of Prof. James Tiefel, Minister of Music at Grace, presents a sacred concert on Wednesday, Mar. 21, at 7:00 p.m., in lieu of the Lenten worship service. This concert is an annual tradition at Grace. Supper will be served beforehand, 5:45-6:15 p.m. in the Grace Center.

Blood Drive at Grace - Today!
Grace is hosting a blood drive today, 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. in the Parish Center. Forget to sign up but want to donate? That’s okay - walk-ins are welcome!

Grace in Action
Thank you to everyone who participated in the February donation drive for Sojourner Family Peace Center! Together, Grace collected 292 diapers, 18 bottles of shampoo/body wash, 44 toothbrushes, 24 tubes of toothpaste, over 2,000 baby wipes, and various clothing items!
Did you know missionary children from Zambia, Antigua, East Asia, Malawi, Cameroon, India, St. Lucia, and Russia are attending school here in the U.S.? Join Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society (LWMS) and Women of Grace on Saturday, Mar. 10, at 8 a.m. as they assemble care packages for these students in the Heritage and Trinity rooms. Feel free to bring your kids and grandkids to help color maps and write notes for the packages!
Busy but want to help? Drop off cookies and other treats in the LWMS boxes located in the Parish Center or church basement kitchen. Contact Christie Fischer at 262-707-2291 with questions.
Gracemade Crafting Session
Gracemade’s next crafting session is set for Saturday, Mar. 17, 8 a.m.-noon in the Heritage Room. The focus of this session will be BYO projects.
Can’t make the session? You can drop off finished projects in the Gracemade donation bin, located in the Parish Center.
Clean up the Church for Easter
All Grace members are invited to help spruce up the church on Saturday, Mar. 24, from 9:30-11 a.m. Let’s get the church prepared for Easter! Lend a hand with general cleaning, polishing trim and woodwork, changing light bulbs, etc. If you can help, sign up in the Parish Center or Grace Center or email Kevin Becker, email@example.com. Arrive at the church entryway and work for as long as fits your schedule.
Help adorn the altar for Easter with beautiful spring flowers! Pick up an envelope from the Parish Center counter and deposit it in the box with your payment. Selections and prices are listed on the envelopes. Please make checks payable to Grace Lutheran Church. Orders must be in by Sunday, Mar. 18.
Join Grace on Easter Sunday, Apr. 1, for a delicious breakfast in the Great Hall from 7:15-10:45 a.m. Volunteers are needed to setup, serve and clean-up. Grace members are also asked to bring food items, such as hardboiled or deviled eggs, ham, cheese, fruit, and bakery. Sign-up sheets are in the Grace Center, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Job Opening at Grace
Grace is seeking candidates for the new position of Volunteer Coordinator. This part-time position will work with members to identify skills and interests that can be used to support Grace’s ministry work and strategic goals. If you are a positive, creative person who loves meeting and working with people, this is a great opportunity! Candidate must be a Grace member in good standing. 10-15 hours per week; flexible schedule. First Fridays: Three Violin Sonatas
Join Lydia Metzger (violin) and Grace member Sarah Henrich (piano), as they perform three violin sonatas by Mozart, Schumann, and Copland. Concert is Friday, Apr. 6 at 5 p.m.; light refreshments will follow.
Lost and Found
It’s almost spring, and with the church cleaning coming up, Grace is also cleaning up its lost and found! Please check the lost and found (located in the coat room at the back of church) for any lost gloves, scarves, or other items you or your child may have left behind. Any unclaimed items will be discarded by Easter.
Happening Around the WELS
The Wisconsin Lutheran Choir presents its Spring Tour Home Concert on Friday, Mar. 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for Arts and Performance (8815 W. Wisconsin Ave,
Milwaukee). Free tickets are available by calling 414-443-8802.
The Point of Grace
Head to Marquette Hall, Room 300 (1217 W. Wisconsin Ave.) on Tuesday, Mar. 27 for a Bible study on what to do when you don’t have a nearby church of your affiliation to attend. Led by Pastor Tom Bauer, the discussion will focus whether one should participate, what we as Lutherans believe, and what to do when visiting churches of other denominations. The study begins at 7 p.m.; free food is provided!
Wisconsin Lutheran College will host the 15th Annual Gary’s Gallop 5k run/2-mile walk presented by Elite Sport & Spine on Saturday, Apr. 14 at WLC’s outdoor Athletic Complex (1401 N. Swan Blvd, Wauwatosa). Advance registration is $25.
