Wednesday Lenten worship and suppers start up in a few weeks! Take a break from the kitchen and instead join your Grace family for food, fellowship, and focusing on a “Love so amazing, so divine.”

Grace in Action
Help Grace in Action collect donations for Sojourner Family Peace Center, a local organization providing domestic violence prevention and intervention services. A donation bin with a list of suggested donations will be located in the Grace Center Feb. 11-25. Items most needed include children’s toothbrushes and toothpaste, baby wipes, diapers (sizes 4-6), children’s shampoo and new toys.

First Fridays - The Songs of Gustav Jenner
First Fridays presents The Songs of Gustav Jenner, featuring soprano Saira Frank and pianist David Richardson, Friday, Mar. 2 at 5 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the concert. First Fridays is presented on the first Friday of every month, is free and open to the public.

Happy Hobby Hour - Game Night at Grace
Get your game on with Grace Friday, Mar. 9 beginning at 5:30 p.m! Guests can play and share their favorite games, and will have the chance to win a board game to take home! Cost is $5, and includes appetizers, beverage ticket and raffle entry. Contact Veronica at

Care Packages
Did you know missionary children from Zambia, Antigua, East Asia, Malawi, Cameroon, India, St. Lucia, and Russia are attending school here in the U.S.? Join Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society (LWMS) and Women of Grace on Saturday, Mar. 10, at 8 a.m. as they assemble care packages for these students in the Heritage and Trinity rooms. Feel free to bring your kids and grandkids to help color maps and write notes for the packages!

Busy but want to help? Drop off cookies and other treats in the LWMS boxes located in the Parish Center or church basement kitchen. Contact Christie Fischer at 262-707-2291 with questions.

Clean up the Church for Easter
All Grace members are invited to help spruce up the church on Saturday, Mar. 24, from 9:30-11 a.m. Let’s get the church prepared for Easter! Lend a hand with general cleaning, polishing trim and woodwork, changing light bulbs, etc. If you can help, sign up in the Parish Center or Grace Center or email Kevin Becker, kbecker@gracedowntown.org. Arrive at the church entryway and work for as long as fits your schedule. 

Easter Flowers
Help adorn the altar for Easter with beautiful spring flowers! Pick up an envelope from the Parish Center counter and deposit it in the box with your payment. Selections and prices are listed on the envelopes. Please make checks payable to Grace Lutheran Church. Orders must be in by Sunday, Mar. 18.

Easter Breakfast
Join Grace on Easter Sunday, Apr. 1, for a delicious breakfast in the Great Hall from 7:15-10:45 a.m. Volunteers are needed to setup, serve and clean-up. Grace members are also asked to bring food items, such as hardboiled or deviled eggs, ham, cheese, fruit, and bakery. Sign-up sheets are in the Grace Center, or email events@gracedowntown.org

Point of Grace
Head to the Warrior Underground (Wisconsin Lutheran College, 8800 W. Bluemound Road, Milwaukee) on Monday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. for “The Ethic of Freedom: Christian Life in a World Given Back to Us,” with guest speaker Wade Johnston. Presented by The Gathering and The Point of Grace. Free food will be provided.

WLC Band Concert
The Wisconsin Lutheran College Concert Band presents its Mid-Winter Concert on Friday, March 2 at
7:30 p.m. in the Center for Arts and Performance. Tickets are $6 and are available from the Box Office at 414-443-8802.

WLHS Spaghetti Dinner
Before the Friday, March 2, performance of Wisconsin Lutheran High School’s musical, How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, you can enjoy the Choir Associates Spaghetti Dinner served in the cafeteria from 4:30-7:00 p.m. - tickets will be sold at the door, adults $10 and children $8. Wisco Kids and Inspiration will perform during the dinner. Musical tickets will be sold separately, $5 grade school age, $10 high school and older.

WLHS Dance Camp
The WLHS Varsity Dance Team will be holding their annual Dance Camp on Saturday, Mar. 17, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Wisconsin Lutheran High School. Cost is $10 to attend and $7.50 for a t-shirt. Camp Phillip Registration Now Open—Registration for 2018 is now open! Located in Wautoma, Wisconsin, Camp Phillip is a camp dedicated to providing relaxation and renewal in Christ for WELS youth, adults, families, churches and schools. CLICK HERE to see what camps are available in summer 2018.

Annual LWMS Convention
The convention will be held June 21-24, in Green Bay. This unique convention provides an opportunity for WELS women to learn more about home missions, along with mission work taking place around the world. Wisconsin Lutheran High School presents How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Performances will be held on Friday, Mar. 2 at 7:30 p.m., Sat. Mar. 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Sun.
