Which are you?
There are two kinds of people:
Those who say to God, “Thy will be done,”
And those to whom God says, “All right, then, have it your way.”
PRAYER: Help me, Lord, to live what I pray when I ask that your will be done. When those words from the prayer that Jesus taught flow from my mouth make them true in my heart and in my life. Give me the courage to believe that your ways are higher than my ways, and can be trusted without my personal analysis. Give me the humility of a child that accepts your thoughts as higher than my thoughts, and appreciates your insight that I cannot totally understand. When I ask for what is harmful, keep it from me despite my stubborn desires. Teach me to want what you want, to prioritize what you know is most important, and to live as Jesus lived. Amen.
